Greek art began around 1000 BC with the Geometric style of art. Three hundred years later came the Archaic
style which you can see in the vases with black figures. In the Classical period came sometime during
the Persian Wars after 480 BC. The
Hellenistic was next which began during Alexander the Great after 336 BC.
Thanks to the conquest of Alexander the Great, Greek art spread to the Eastern civilizations and adopted by Romans and Orthodox Christianity in the Byzantine which further pushed its influence into the most of Europe.
